The new Skoda Superb Estate teased ahead of a Frankfurt launch
Update 18/9/09: Skoda has now launched the Superb Estate – the Skoda Superb Combi – at Frankfurt. The Skoda Superb Estate is something of a monster estate – aimed to compete with the big Volvo estates – and is likely to come with an engine – and trim level – to suit just about any need. The Superb Estate doesn’t appear to have a longer wheelbase than its saloon sibling, but it does appear to be taller at the back, which augers well for the load capacity, which Skoda are quoted as saying is ‘Huge’.
Lotus will show the most sporting, toughest Evora yet - the GTE Road Car Concept - at the 2011 Pebble Beach car show this week. As the name implies, it's borne out of the Evora GTE race programme, which sees Lotus's mid-engined 2+2 compete at races across the globe, culminating in the 24-hour race at Le Mans. The India Vehicle Design Summit 2014 will be the first in its history to focus exclusively on the ‘design and styling' of commercial and passenger vehicles. Taking place at The Corinthians Resort and Club in Pune from 24-25 April, the summit will feature speakers from brands including Jaguar, Ferrari and McLaren and industry experts from companies such as Volvo, GM and Tata as well as institutions such as the National Institute of Design in India and London's Royal College of Arts. Confirmed speakers include Volvo China's chief designer Gustavo Guerra, renowned designer Peter Stevens and Anil Saiini, director of design at GM India.
